Gear Up for Success: Bike Mechanic Training at LEF

Since 2009, we’ve been equipping individuals with the skills to expertly assemble and repair bicycles.

Join our Bike Assembly and Maintenance (BAM) program—a 4-week intensive, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

With our expansive 1300 sqft. fully equipped bike shop, your learning experience is immersive and practical, ensuring a solid start to a thriving career in the bicycle industry.

The registration fee is $25, and participants must be eligible to work in Ontario. This program is not open to international student visa holders.

Meet the Instructor

Darren Duke

Darren has been a bicycle industry professional for over 35 years, having extensive knowledge of bicycle retail and distribution, and excellent technical mechanical skills. Darren spent many years servicing bikes at Dukes Cycle and as inside sales and warranty manager at Vellend Tech distribution. He has shared his knowledge for the past 13 years as the BAM instructor with many students starting their careers after graduating from the BAM program. With his advanced knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance, he has proven himself as an expert in the field.
