Citizenship Program

The Immigrant Settlement Adaptation Program periodically offers citizenship classes to newcomers who wish to prepare for their Canadian citizenship exam.

Each two-hour class takes place once a week for six weeks.

Participants are given material such as the Citizenship and Immigration Canada publication, A Look at Canada, as well as quizzes and other handouts. Topics covered include Canadian geography, history and symbols, our political system, rights and responsibilities and the justice system.

While only permanent residents who have been living in Canada for at least three years can apply for citizenship status, our citizenship course is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about Canada and be better prepared for their exam.

For more information about this and to find out when our next course is starting, contact us at 416-760-2551.
